School Counselor - This position is for the 2026-27 school year, which begins August 3rd, 2026

Salary Range$55,109 - $85,820 per year (Based on experience, qualifications, and an 11-month work schedule)

NCCA-HS is an online free public charter school committed to preparing students through virtual learning for success in tomorrow’s world. We aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in post-secondary education and / or the profession of their choosing. NCCA-HS traditionally is one of the largest virtual high school programs in North Carolina averaging (1,300) 9th - 12th grade students annually with a graduating class of 270+.

 

Job / Teaching Assignment Overview:

 

NCCA-HS has a position available in our Student Services (Counseling) Department for the 2026-27 school year.  This position will have responsibilities supporting individual students and small groups for a segment of our student body (9th - 12th Grades).  The position is one of four counselors that support our overall comprehensive school counseling program. Student caseloads typically average 250 - 350 students per counselor.

We are seeking a dedicated School Counselor with proven results serving and supporting students regardless of grade level.  Qualified candidates will be asked to share demonstrated examples of success working with students in a traditional, charter, or private school setting.
